The past couple of weeks have been spent emailing companies that I'd love to work with, and lining up projects for the very near future - so blogging has gone on the back burner for a little while, apologies!

In other news, I've been tweeting more regularly recently so come and keep me company! 

I've also forgotten to mention that CFSL 06 has been out for a little while now, the book features loads of amazing artists and I'm honoured to have a place in a publication alongside them.

Short story update

A little while ago I started work on a short story based on a Japanese folk tale. I took a step back from what I was doing at the time, and when I came back to it I wasn't happy with the way it was all going - visually or narratively.

So I used the themes I already had and went back to build something that was my own, and that was more autobiographical in a way.

Now that's all nailed down I'm exploring what I can do visually, and I'm much happier.

I think that's possibly the most I've rambled in a post to date ;)

Magnitude Zero

So my image 'Fugu Balloons' was printed in the 'Magnitude 9' artbook last year. Now it features in a new book 'Magnitude Zero', which is being published in Japan, alongside new illustrations by Japanese artists.

 The works are also currently on show at the Manga Museum in Kyoto, and a selection of pieces can be seen on Asahi Shimbun if Kyoto is a little too far for you to travel.
