Short story update

A little while ago I started work on a short story based on a Japanese folk tale. I took a step back from what I was doing at the time, and when I came back to it I wasn't happy with the way it was all going - visually or narratively.
So I used the themes I already had and went back to build something that was my own, and that was more autobiographical in a way.

Now that's all nailed down I'm exploring what I can do visually, and I'm much happier.

I think that's possibly the most I've rambled in a post to date ;)

Wow, this is way different from the last version. Looks cool! Is the cicada supposed to be on a tree in the background?

Ramble on, man, it's great to hear your thought process. Beautiful art, as always!

Adele - Yeah really different, but the change was gradual behind the scenes ;) . Yes, the cicada is on a tree.

Chris - Thanks Chris, glad someone made sense of my rant! haha

It looks very different from the previous style, but I like it! I want to see more!
