Very quick sketch with some hard brushes in Photoshop.
I was painting this in oils, but got frustrated at the amount of time it takes for oils to dry - only got as far as blocking it in with the oils and I'm still waiting for it to dry (this was over a week ago!). So I spent an evening painting this quick mockup digitally while my paint dries.
CHOW entry over at CA.org. The topic was 'Death's Horse' so I went for a fantasy/mad max style...could have worked out better.
